BRIEF
Commissioned by Uganda International Fashion Week, delivered on behalf of Marula Creative Agency: capture the human story behind the runway — the models themselves, not just the collections passing through them.
Task. On-the-ground model interviews shot and edited into short-form video, paired with backstage photography, surfacing personal impact stories — background, barriers, what the platform means for them — set against the Week's role in growing Uganda's fashion industry
Idea. Models as protagonists, not clothes-hangers. Strip the glamour framing and let each interview sit close, quiet, testimonial; backstage photography catches the unguarded moments the runway doesn't show. Together, runway and backstage frame a bigger story about opportunity, visibility, and African fashion claiming its own stage.
